A true light in all of this darkness

When you watch the news, look around and talk to people, there is just so much darkness out there.  Then, the loss of a loved one hits you.  When Tami left us, the whole world seemed to crash in on us all at once.  There were arrangements to be made, belongings to go through, the garage to clean out, paper work to  take care of.  Just so much!

The worst was going through all of her personal things, like the Christmas and birthday presents that had been given to her, and the pictures that she had saved that I drew as a child.  It all just added more heart ache to the situation.  Then I realized that I have all of these beautiful memories that truly became my treasures.

And that has been the true light in the darkness.
